ZSFZ Wet Alarm Valve

The wet alarm valve is a type of one-way valve that only allows water to flow unidirectionally into the sprinkler system and alarms at a specified flow rate.

▌Structural Characteristics and Uses

The wet alarm valve is a one-way valve that allows water to flow unidirectionally into the sprinkler system and alarms at a specified flow rate.

▌Working Principle of the Wet Alarm Valve

The working principle of the wet alarm valve relies on the opening and closing of the valve disc due to the decrease or increase of water pressure in the pipeline system. In the standby state, when there is a slight fluctuation in the water supply pressure, the bypass balance pipe ensures that the valve remains closed, balancing the upper and lower water pressures. Since the pressure area on the upper side of the valve disc is greater than that on the lower side, the valve disc will not open, preventing false alarms. When a fire occurs, causing a drop in water pressure in the pipeline system, the pressure difference generated between the supply side and the system side will open the valve, allowing continuous water supply to the opened sprinkler for firefighting.

The control ball valve between the wet alarm valve’s alarm port and the delay device must remain fully open and locked in the standby state, while the test alarm control ball valve must be closed. When conducting a test alarm: remove the locking device of the control ball valve between the alarm port and the delay device and close it. At this point, open the test alarm control ball valve to conduct the alarm test. After the test, immediately restore both control ball valves to their original state.
