ZSFM Rain Soaked Alarm Valve – Diaphragm Type

When a fire occurs in the protected area, the temperature and smoke detectors detect the fire signal. Through the fire alarm and extinguishing control system, the solenoid valve of the deluge valve is directly opened, allowing the water in the pressure chamber to be quickly discharged. As the pressure chamber depressurizes, the water below the valve is rapidly pushed up, allowing the water to flow into the working chamber and into the entire piping network for fire extinguishing. (If the duty personnel detect a fire, they can also manually open the manual quick-opening valve to activate the deluge valve.) At the same time, part of the pressurized water flows to the alarm piping network, causing the hydraulic bell to ring and the pressure switch to activate, sending a signal to the duty room or directly activating the fire pump for water supply.

▌Structural Characteristics and Uses

When a fire occurs in the protected area, the temperature and smoke detector detects the fire signal, and through the fire alarm and extinguishing control device, directly opens the solenoid valve of the deluge valve, allowing the water in the pressure chamber to be quickly discharged. As the pressure chamber depressurizes, the water below the valve is rapidly pushed up, allowing water to flow into the working chamber and into the entire pipe network for fire extinguishing (if the duty personnel discover a fire, they can also manually open the quick-opening valve to activate the deluge valve). At the same time, part of the pressurized water flows to the alarm pipe network, causing the hydraulic bell to ring and the pressure switch to activate, sending a signal to the duty room or directly supplying water to the fire pump. The main difference between the deluge system and the wet, dry, and pre-action systems is the use of open spray heads. Once the system is activated, it will spray water over the entire protected area. The wet, dry, and pre-action systems are ineffective against rapidly spreading fires because the opening speed of the spray heads is significantly slower than the combustion speed of the fire. Only the deluge system, once activated, can achieve full water spray over the designed area, effectively controlling and extinguishing such fires.
